CEDAR MOUNTAIN SELLS MINERAL INTERESTS IN ZACATECAS, MEXICO

August 27, 2009

Cedar Mountain Exploration Inc. (CED:TSXV) (“Cedar”) today announced that it has sold all of its shares in Sterling Mining de Mexico S.A. de C.V. (“Sterling Mexico”) and Evoba Mining de Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V.(“Evoba”) to an arm’s length party in exchange for a one year, unsecured 10% debenture in the principal amount of $300,000. Sterling Mexico and Evoba are the owners of the Jimenez del Teul and País del Elefante mineral interests acquired by Cedar in three transactions during 2008.

“The acquisition of the Jimenez del Teul and País del Elefante properties in Zacatecas, gave Cedar a low cost entry point into Mexico . However, after completing our first pass exploration and technical review, we feel the projects no longer meet our objectives.” stated Dr. Ross, President of Cedar, “ Mexico is a jurisdiction with significant mineral potential and we continue to evaluate opportunities there.”
